As I never thanked you enough for being a second mother for me... that lengthy car ride... all the treats - all the laughs! Being such a beautiful audience! Oh, how I think fondly of those days... so often wished they had not ended. Other souvenirs from those joyful times include:
This is the time of the year when we revisit specialty stores (sorry for the lack of, ah, regular business there Toys R Us...! Also wish that I could type that reversed "R" here - still cannot! Oh well...) and get reacquainted with our childhood wide-eyed joy (or the closest thing to it that we can get, x-number of years after it officially ended...!) and the latest in terms of toy manufacturing and collectors' wonders... I guess! When, last time I remember checking, they had Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Super Powers and whatever else the latest trendy thing was... such as those Care Bears critters... or the Cabbage Patch Kids - ugh! Well, thesedays - they have these:
