...tantas Saudades...!!!

1984-1990

I indelibly was...

Living A Boy's Adventure Tale

... couldn't escape if I had wanted to...

...may have been dreaming...?

BECAUSE OF YOU!

in so many ways

for so many days

Verily, it inspired my creativity - this "adventure tale" here...!

I was inspired to concoct a saga of my own imagination;

a sweeping epic that tied up all loose ends that I was aware of

as it weaved solid ties to REVELATIONS and MORE...

more meaningful material, therefore!

And, now, in 2018... so many days later indeed...

I am perplexed to find that I am compelled to ask myself

the exact same dumb question that Phil Collins asked

at the end of his video for "Don't (You) Lose My Number"

(or whatever that tune was called!)

and that question is... "how does it end?"

I don't even remember how I ended that tale!!!

A childhood composition - starring so many of my

action figures... some I had made myself!

But that's... another story!

Aye. It appeared to go on forever

- drag on endlessly -

Yet, in the end...

it wasn't long enough

and I really wish now

that those days

(not Scoundrel Days ~ at all)

had never ended

- ever

***Margot***

Queen Margot...

No. It isn't the historical one, for me...

And no - it certainly isn't that new actress

with the last name Robbie...

No - for me, it was Miss Kidder - - -

the first Lois Lane that I saw on-screen,

-in the original Amityville Horror too-

and, for teeny adolescent me,

the most unforgettable, alluring,

seductive tangible link between

Hollywood and the Playboy Mansion:

no, there was no woman more desirable

in the early 1980s than this one

who combined charm, sparkle and wit.

The little Clark Kent that I was, way back then,

was hopelessly and irremediably smitten

with her - despite all the stories,

all the controversies emerging

around and about her...

I LOVED HER!!!

And to learn of her passing now...

is like a tragic family loss - again.

She was so much more than just

another pretty face in Tinseltown - - -

some called her an unconventional star;

others lauded her outspoken nature and wit.

She was an advocate for better

understanding of bipolarity, mental illness

and she challenged the powers that be

on the necessity of military intervention

such as it was done in the Gulf War...

More than anyone else

-including the two guys who portrayed

journalists handling the Watergate story-

it was her portrayal of Lois Lane

that led a great many to choose

the profession and go into

journalism - and it very nearly

pulled me in, also...!

Margot Kidder was an inspiration.

She was a brave voice

in an oftentimes deafening desert...

She gave true LIFE, RESONANCE

and RELEVANCE

to this four-color character

to whom she briefly lended her flesh,

vocal chords and talents...

And she will continue to do so.

In spirit.

REST IN PEACE,
